Privacy Statement for Delivery App

This Privacy Statement applies to the processing of personal data of “Drivers” of CashDesk affiliates. In order for the Delivery app to function properly, we use certain of your personal data. We take your privacy seriously and therefore would like to inform you about how we use your data and for what purpose we use it. This Privacy Statement serves to provide you with this information regarding the personal data that is processed within the Delivery app, how we process this personal data and the purposes of the processing.

What data is processed in the Delivery App

The moment you start your shift with us, you activate the Delivery App (hereinafter: “App”). This following data is processed within the Delivery App:

  • GPS location
  • Open shift taken timestamp
  • Job seen timestamp
  • Job fetched timestamp
  • Job delivered timestamp
  • Geofence timestamps for pickup and delivery
  • Phone number
  • Analytics data

Why we process personal data
Planning and optimization

Your GPS location is used for route planning and optimization. This enables us to run our delivery service as effectively as possible and subsequently ensure that you only have to ride the shortest distance possible each time. Your GPS location is only processed during your active shift.

GPS Location

The App shares your GPS location with us during your shift for the purposes described above. You should be aware of the following:

  • Your GPS location is used for route planning/optimization.
  • Your GPS location is relayed to CashDesk in multiple intervals per minute. Motion data, such as speed, kilometers travelled and so on, are registered in the App by default but will not be used by CashDesk.
  • Your GPS location is only shared during an active shift, not during breaks or outside working hours.

App Analytics

Personal data that is processed within the app is also used by CashDesk for analytical purposes and to improve the app and delivery process of CashDesk.

Additional purposes

We will only use your data as described above. If we want to use the data for a different purpose, we will always ask you for your consent.

Sharing with others

Cashdesk will not sell your personal data to third parties, and we will only disclose them to third parties if necessary for the performance of our contract with you, for analytical purposes, or to comply with legal obligations.

Whenever we instruct third-party companies to process your personal data on our behalf, we will enter into a data processing agreement to guarantee the same level of protection and confidentiality of your personal data. CashDesk will then continue to have ultimate responsibility for such processing operations.

Automated decision-making and profiling

For the purposes described above CashDesk may use automated decision-making and profiling. We for example use automated decision-making to select the orders that will cost you the least amount of time to deliver as a driver. These automated decisions are always under control of a natural person.

How long we store personal data for

Cashdesk will not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary for the purposes for which your personal data were collected. We will only store your personal data for longer if we are required by law to do so.

Use of consumers’ data

When delivering orders, you also receive data of the consumers. We would like to point out to you that the data of consumers, such as name, address and telephone number, may only be used to deliver the order. The use of this data for other purposes than the delivery of the order is prohibited by law and may lead to the termination of your employment contract.

Rights, questions or complaints

You have the right to access all personal data we collect about you, as well as to request that we rectify or erase your personal data. If you feel that we are processing your personal data without a valid legal basis or that we are processing personal data that are not relevant for our selection process, please contact us. You can contact us. CashDesk will respond to your request as soon as possible, and in any case no later than four weeks after receiving your request.

Security

Cashdesk takes personal data protection very seriously and we therefore take appropriate measures to protect your personal data against misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized alteration. Data Protection Authority

Besides the option of lodging a complaint with us, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority for the protection of personal data. To do so, contact the supervisory authority directly.
